Essential Job Functions:
Research, Organize, Review, and Process data and information associated with Quality / Manufacturing Engineering activities in the Aero-engine/Aerospace Industries. Work requires the natural ability to develop strong working relations with manufacturing and quality engineers while also interacting with numerous systems, databases, and schedules.
Execute aspects of specification compliance.
Contribute to non-conformance identification and resolution work including facets of formal Root Cause / Corrective Action processes.
Identify potential delivery issues based on circumstantial evidence and recommend improvements. Expedite part orders when needed.
Support Lean initiatives
Work from mindset of furthering our customers reputation as well as advancing their suppliers capabilities and performance.
Secondary Job Functions:
Support QuESTs project leaders and program managers in execute deliverables within a define timelines and to standard work.
Develop/Enhance work instructions to implement best practices / lessons learned and ensure repeatability.
Specialized Knowledge / Skills
Quality:
o Experience with quality assurance tools, statistics, quality systems, and industry standards.
o Measurement and/or Inspection experience
o Root Cause-Corrective Analysis tools & methods
Manufacturing:
o Experience or familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, tooling/fixtures, gaging
o Ability to read/interpret drawings including understanding of GD&T
o Understanding of Process Flow, Control Plans, PFMEA tools
o Knowledge of 1st piece and FAI/PPAP
Other:
o MRP experience (SAP/CAPP/Solumina beneficial)
o Proficiency using MS office suite
Education, Training, and Experience
AS degree in an Engineering or Technical domain and 2 years of relatable experience
Non-degree w/ 3 years experience in a relevant industry
Quality, Manufacturing certifications - beneficialEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
