Essential Job Functions:
Ensure success of the QuEST Cross-Functional-Teams by helping to interact with aerospace manufacturing suppliers, set and report hardware commitment dates, and track and expedite the delivery of aerospace hardware.
Create line-of-balance reports which involves collecting, measuring and presenting facts to highlight cycle times, costs and milestones
Gather necessary data, create and analyze metrics, maintain appropriate databases, and send required reports to the customer and the supply base
Coordinate with supplier and customer if there are changes in delivery dates or requirements
Regular visits to suppliers to walk manufacturing processes on the shop floor
Most suppliers will be local to our East Hartford office
Occasional overnight travel may be required
Document hardware Process Improvement activity and Delivery Improvement plans
Secondary Job Functions:
Support project management and program management to quote and close work packages
Develop work instructions to implement best practices / lessons learned and ensure repeatability
Collaborate, mentor, and train other QuEST Team Members.
Participate in technical reviews within your knowledge base.
Specialized Knowledge / Skills
Experience or familiarity with the manufacturing of hardware required
Knowledge of bills of material and manufacturing processes a plus
Proficiency manipulating data within MS Excel to create graphs, charts, and tables required
Ability to create business correspondences using email and MS PowerPoint required
Experience with Business Management Software and Databases preferred; experience with SAP would be a plus
Education, Training, and Experience
AS in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology or similar

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
