Manufacturing Project Manager
An employer is seeking an IT Manufacturing Project Manager to join their team remotely within their digital technology group responsible for delivering digital solutions within the company's Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) enterprise platform.
The version of the Solumina MES that the company is currently using is going to reach end of life, therefore the company will be upgrading to Solumina iSeries, specifically version i70.
The team is in need of a strong IT PM to help lead this effort from a project management standpoint.
The IT Manufacturing Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning processes for the project, execute and delegate on responsibilities, and helping apply project management principles to the overall initiative from an Agile perspective.
This Solumina MES Solution project is tightly integrated with other projects running in parallel for the company, so this resource will work cross functionally with others and should have awareness of the overall program but will be specifically focusing on the MES solution.
It is imperative that this resource have a strong background within the manufacturing field, and understand the integration points for various MES and ERP systems.
This individual should have an understanding of the full life cycle of manufacturing, and understand the hand offs between various systems.
The team has already completed the blueprinting phase for this project, and is currently in the beginning stages of the development phase.
This is a long term endeavor as this Solumina upgrade / MES Solution upgrade will need to be deployed across 65 different sites and across multiple value streams.
The ideal candidate will help the team from a foundational project management practice standpoint, and help lead the project towards continued success.
Experience with SoluminaExperience in the Aerospace industryPMP or related certification(s)5
years of experience as an IT Project Manager within the manufacturing fieldExpertise applying project management principles to large enterprise level projectsExpertise overseeing the planning processes and delegating responsibilitiesPreviously worked as a PM in an Agile environmentStrong experience with a Project Management tool such as MS Project Understanding of the full life cycle of manufacturing and the integration points for MES and ERP systems Recommended Skills Aerospace Industries Agile Methodology Enterprise Resource Planning Ms Project Manufacturing Execution System (Mes) Project Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
