Come join our Team today!Job InformationLead a team or teams in an IPD environment to develop, scope, schedule and budget for program or project execution to meet customer and internal requirements.
Manage requirements and scope, provide oversight and direction of all product design and development activities, including conceptual design, feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design, and any required assembly, test, delivery and field support issues.
Mentor team leaders in project management.
Manage and maintain collaborative customer relationships, establish team priorities, manage staffing and resources and prepare and deliver project status reports for management review at appropriate intervals.
Deliver program progress and completion with optimal quality, on time and on budget.
Role & Responsibility Develop and manage a structured, program-focused benchmarking process for optimal analysis and useful results.
Require close and effective collaboration with multi-functional groups, internal and external.
Lead Peer Reviews, FMEA's EH&S Reviews related to new product and derivative product development for focus and re-focus.
Focus the team on identifying and meeting customer requirements and expectations.
Ensure customer commitments are met with quality, on-time, on-budget products.
Assure clear understanding of customers' needs to make certain those needs are clearly met.
Create an environment where people are involved, included, motivated and valued, with a sense of program/project ownership.
Job Requirement Education & Experience BA/BS with 10
years of experience.
MA/MS with 7-10
years of experience.
PhD with 4-7
years of experience.
Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related degree, PMP Certification helpful.
Knowledge & Skill Prior project/program management experience, including ownership of schedule and budget.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Excellent communications skills.
Ability to set priorities.
Strong technical and engineering-focused skills and successes.
Familiarity with electromechanical production equipment.
OtherThe position described involves on-site work at office in East Hartford, CT.
