We pride ourselves on the quality of our pies, all of which are made in-house from our own recipes.
Job Description We are looking for a hard-working and outgoing individual to join our Farmers' Market team.
We attend a variety of weekly markets around the state.
We are looking to hire someone to start in the beginning of August and work through the end of October.
The job includes the following tasks:
Responsibilities:
Pack a personal with gear and products and drive to market location Set up tent and display products Sell those pies! Provide friendly and informative customer service to market shoppers Handle sales transactions and keep track of inventory Clean and store equipment and products on return to bakery Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age Must be licensed to drive in the state of Connecticut - no exceptions Must have a means of transportation - market employees will be required to use personal vehicles for work.
Compensation for mileage is provided.
(Preference will be given to applicants willing to use a personal vehicle.
) Must have a functioning smartphone (for credit card transactions) Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
Must be comfortable working outside and on your feet for up to 4-5 hours Must be willing to work unconventional hours (most markets run 3pm-6pm not including setup and cleanup) Must be available to work weekends Preferences:
Be able to multitask and show attention to detail Comfortable in a fast-paced, demanding work environment Work well in a team or as a solo vendor Handle money accurately and safely Provide friendly and dependable customer service Enthusiasm for farmers' markets and local food! Be available on weekends/holidays Interact and engage with customers, coworkers, and fellow vendors Compensation:
Starting pay = $15/hr Raises are awarded for exceptional job performance.
Hours are dependent on number of markets worked.
This is a SEASONAL position with the potential to work in the fall as production staff.
